What are the responsibilities and job description for the Homebound Tutor position at Freshman & Upper Campus?
Terms of Employment:
- Responsible to: Asst Superintendent of Special Services or designee
- Compensation: $35.00 per hour
- Schedule: The schedule is variable based upon the needs of the students
- Benefits: This position is not eligible for benefits or paid leave
Qualifications:
- Hold an active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- High school endorsements are preferred
- Content are endorsements are required for tutoring in Honors and/or AP courses
- The license must be registered in McHenry County
- Ability to stimulate students to actively participate in the learning process
- Ability to work closely with other staff members
Responsibilities:
- Provide assigned homebound tutoring services to 9-12 grade students in various subjects as needed
- Must perform all responsibilities in a professional manner consistent with district policy and practices
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Requires the ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to move freely and perform duties in numerous locations throughout the day (involving the ability to stoop, bend, and reach as needed)
- Ability to occasionally move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials
- Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting
