Start Date: 5/27/2025
Terms of Employment:
- Responsible To: Director of Network Technology and Assistant Technology Director
- Location: To be determined - ability to travel between campuses
- Hourly Rate: $15.00/hr for 18 and older; $13.00/hr for youth under 18
- Hours Per Day: 8 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- Daily Schedule: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (subject to change due to assignment)
- Benefits: This temporary position is not eligible for benefits
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent or current student of McHenry Community High School District 156
- Technology experience preferred
- Intermediate level computer skills associated with Google Docs, Microsoft Office, Windows OS 7, 10 / Apple MacOS, iOS
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Assist with help desk support for summer school
- Assist with Chromebook prep for the upcoming school year
- Relocate, reposition, and secure existing technology equipment
- Perform inventory of existing hardware and software
- Remove dust and debris from equipment with vacuum and/or compressed air
- Clean equipment with appropriate district approved cleaning agent(s)
- Unpack and inventory new technology equipment and supplies
- Install, configure, verify and troubleshoot hardware and software
- Create and maintain appropriate documentation
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Physical Requirements:
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver equipment up to 35 pounds for several hours daily
- Limited A/C, potentially high humidity working environment
- Exposure to dusty/dirty equipment requiring general cleaning
Salary : $13 - $15
