Our team is committed to excellence, integrity, and service, and we are looking for a Production Lead to ensure accurate, efficient, and high-quality picking and packing of food and food-related direct-to-consumer (DTC) orders.

We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Production Lead to oversee and optimize picking and packing operations for direct-to-consumer food and food-related orders. This individual will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency while leading and holding their team accountable. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with at least two years of experience managing production teams in a similar environment and has a solid understanding of Excel, production metrics, and labor efficiency calculations.

This is a critical role in ensuring on-time, error-free order fulfillment while optimizing labor utilization and maintaining high-quality standards for DTC food logistics.

Key Responsibilities

Production Leadership & Team Management:

Lead and oversee picking and packing operations for direct-to-consumer food and food-related orders to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency. Build, train, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Set daily production goals and ensure cases per labor hour and other key metrics are met. Maintain a tight, well-organized, and disciplined operation, ensuring all employees follow best practices and company standards.

Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement:

Monitor and track productivity metrics, identifying and addressing inefficiencies. Ensure proper workflow management, balancing labor and workload to meet order demand and shipping deadlines. Work with Excel and other reporting tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and optimize efficiency. Collaborate with warehouse, inventory, and shipping teams to ensure seamless DTC fulfillment.

Quality Control & Accuracy :

Ensure all DTC food and food-related orders are picked and packed correctly, meeting customer quality expectations. Conduct quality checks to minimize errors, damages, and discrepancies in orders. Enforce proper food safety handling procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications

2 years of leadership experience in a production, warehouse, or direct-to-consumer fulfillment environment. Proven ability to lead and develop teams while holding employees accountable. Experience working with Excel and understanding production-related math (cases per labor hour, labor efficiency, etc.). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to analyze data, track performance, and drive improvements. Knowledge of food safety regulations (preferred but not required). Hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
