Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated Class A Truck Drivers who will run daily routes with frequent stops, ensuring timely and safe delivery of products to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for loading packages onto hand trucks and unloading products at designated stops. You will efficiently operate within a cross-dock framework, picking up filled trucks from nightly deliveries and returning empty trucks at the end of your route. There may be occasions where you will assist with loading trucks, palletizing products, and completing other tasks assigned by your Supervisor or Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently run assigned routes, consistently meeting or exceeding designated route times.
- Unloading products from trailers by hand or using a hand cart, placing them in specified customer storage areas, and navigating various terrains in all weather conditions.
- Frequently lift, push, or move products weighing between 1-75 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds, while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Verify the delivery of items with customers and ensure accurate signatures are obtained, addressing any discrepancies with management as needed.
- Communicate effectively regarding order issues, including shortages or customer complaints.
- Maintain company equipment responsibly, follow all safety protocols, and conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
