Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs and policies .
- Assist with conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Observe and report potential hazards and unsafe conditions in the workplace.
- Promote a safety-first mindset among employees through training, education, and daily interactions.
- Coordinate and support safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee training sessions.
- Help maintain compliance with OSHA and other applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Assist with incident investigations and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Maintain EHS documentation, reports, and records.
- Partner with supervisors and employees to proactively identify safety improvement opportunities.
- Support environmental compliance initiatives such as waste management, recycling programs, and sustainability efforts.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, safety management, or similar
- OSHA or similar EHS certification
- A minimum of two years of experience as an EHS coordinator PIT Training Experience or PIT certification
- Safety training experience
- Prior experience in a similar role
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree in safety, environmental science, or a related field is a plus.
