EHS Coordinator

This position is based at out Linden, NJ facility.

We are seeking a proactive and motivated EHS Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who may not have extensive experience in safety but has a strong awareness of workplace safety and is eager to learn and grow in the EHS field. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can identify potential hazards, take initiative, and help cultivate a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs and policies .
• Assist with conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Observe and report potential hazards and unsafe conditions in the workplace.
• Promote a safety-first mindset among employees through training, education, and daily interactions.
• Coordinate and support safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee training sessions.
• Help maintain compliance with OSHA and other applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Assist with incident investigations and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Maintain EHS documentation, reports, and records.
• Partner with supervisors and employees to proactively identify safety improvement opportunities.
• Support environmental compliance initiatives such as waste management, recycling programs, and sustainability efforts.
  
  

Qualifications

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, safety management, or similar
• OSHA or similar EHS certification
• A minimum of two years of experience as an EHS coordinator PIT Training Experience or PIT certification
• Safety training experience
• Prior experience in a similar role
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree in safety, environmental science, or a related field is a plus.
