The Machine Operator 1, under the direction of the Automation Specialist and Automation Supervisor, sets up and operates all production machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Additionally, with the support of the Shift Manager and Maintenance Department, helps develop and train standard operating procedures.

The Machine Operator 1, under the direction of the Automation Specialist and Automation Supervisor, sets up and operates all production machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. What's On The Menu
- Sets up, calibrates, loads and operates assigned industrial packaging and bottling machinery (Auto-Baggers and Rotary Cup Filler).
- Be familiar with the specific product you’re working with (i.e. ingredients, spices, flavors) and what packaging material it gets packaged in
- Knowledge of the Automation Specialist and Machine Operator 1 positions
- Fill out a production report daily indicating quality assurance and gold standard
- Maintaining KPI standards of production for output and quality.
- When required, provide assistance installing and commissioning new equipment
- Make minor repairs and adjustments to the machines when needed.
- Communicate any mechanical issues beyond ability to Automation Supervisor
- Properly breaks-down and thoroughly cleans all equipment, as well as resetting for the next shift
- Perform duties effectively in a highly diverse teamwork environment
- Ability to understand and apply mechanical concepts and principles to solve problems
- 2-3 years experience operating industrial packaging machinery; food manufacturing experience a plus!
- Must have mechanical aptitude and intermediate troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Ability to uphold safety, food safety, and production quality and freshness standards.
- Must be able to maintain production pace of equipment
- Basic computer skills
- Must be willing and able to lift-up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be willing and able to handle exposure to temperatures that range from freezing to sub-freezing (coolers, freezers, etc.) with or without accommodation
- Must be willing and able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach with or without reasonable accommodation
