INSTRUCTIONAL AIDE II

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Instructional Aide II/Education Coordinator supports the educational and developmental needs of Native American youth from grades K-12 within the Fresno American Indian Health Project youth services. This position involves administrative responsibilities including planning and developing new programs, activities, curriculum, and projects to meet the American Indian Education Center (AIEC) program goals and objectives. Direct service responsibilities include providing instructional services and academic assistance to students in specific subject matters including math, English, history, science, and other subject required for graduation from elementary and secondary schools. Additionally, this person will work closely with the program manager and other instructional aides to create a supportive and cohesive learning environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in working with the Native American Community and/or other minority groups.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
· Minimum of a High School Diploma
· Some college Preferred associate degree in education, social sciences.
EXPERIENCE:
· At least 2 years of experience working in an educational setting, providing direct instructional support to students.
· Previous experience working with Native American youth or within a Native American community is preferred.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and community members.
· Understanding and appreciation of Native American cultures, traditions, and values
SKILLS:
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, using MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with general office equipment (e.g., copier, scanners, fax, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking.
- Strong empathy and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and analytically driven.
- Patience and knowledge to work with culturally diverse students, parents, and staff.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
