SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None.
SUMMARY
Transports the public, which includes seniors and developmentally disabled passengers driving an appropriately sized vehicle.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ensures all passengers are properly secured.
Operates wheelchair lift properly for loading and unloading.
Ensures all wheelchair equipment is stored properly prior to movement of vehicle.
Operates vehicle in all-weather and terrain conditions for field trips and other related travel as required.
Fosters and maintains good rapport with passengers, centers, care providers and staff.
Attends mandatory required training and various meetings.
Safely transports passengers from designated pick-up and drop-off locations.
Uses two-way radio.
Responsible for maintaining a safe environment within the bus by enforcing rules of conduct and responding to emergencies.
Maintains cleanliness of vehicle to ensure safe operating condition.
Collects accident information in the event of minor accidents.
Performs, documents and submits daily vehicle condition reports.
Reads, interprets and follow maps.
Performs arithmetic calculations.
Completes reports as required.
Travels for business as required.
Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
Works evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
