SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Site Monitors, Site Supervisors, and Volunteers/Interns
SUMMARY
Plans, directs and coordinates School Meal Nutrition Programs, including, Site Monitors, Site Supervisors, and volunteers/interns. Work with sites to increase the effectiveness of the program.
Assist in the fulfillment of the Agency’s vision, “A strong Fresno County where people have the resources to shape their future free from poverty.”
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists Dietary Manager in providing overall coordination of At-Risk After School (ARA) and Summer Food Services Program (SFSP) including Site Monitors, Site Supervisors, and volunteers/interns.
Responsible for overall operation of ARA Sites and SFSP Sites.
Trains and assists site supervisors, site monitors and volunteers/interns with management of site to assure compliance with USDA
Coordinates and trains Site Supervisors annually.
Ensures that meal orders are received in an accurate and timely fashion; adjusts meal orders as needed.
Coordinates with sites and conduct outreach efforts to increase participation.
Trains and supervises ARA and SFSP staff on an ongoing basis.
Ensures that all monitoring requirements are met.
Assist site monitors as needed.
Review and maintains records of daily and weekly reports and prepares them for claim.
Conducts monthly audits on claimed meals.
Enter monthly claims into reporting database.
Responsible for marketing of ARA and SFSP to increase participation.
Completes monthly program Expense Reports.
Travels for agency business using reliable transportation.
Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
Works evenings and weekends as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of college courses in Nutrition or a related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two years of food service experience preferred.
- Two years of clerical experience required.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess and maintain Food Handlers card or obtain within thirty (30) days of employment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related business software used to maintain accurate records.
Ability to accurately type 35 words per minute.
Ability to read and comprehend procedures, calculate arithmetic and complete forms, required.
Effective presentation, written and verbal communication skills required.
Bilingual in English and Spanish or other secondary language preferred due to the needs of the clients.
Willing to work non-traditional hours and days to meet the needs of this position.
Maintain a valid California driver’s license, reliable transportation, adequate auto insurance as required by State law, and insurability by agency carrier for those driving agency vehicle.
