DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepare and maintain confidential student files related to grades, records and test results; maintain confidential files and records.
Update student demographic and enrollment information as required by the State of California Student Information System.
Maintain and update all current student enrollment and demographic data required by school administration and the local authorizing chartering agency.
Process and transmit requests for transcripts and certify transcripts.
Enroll new students, assign to proper grade level, counselor & homeroom; submit forms and student
information to appropriate office.
Withdraw students according to established procedures; complete required forms, submit to the office and new school as requested.
Prepare the senior graduation list with class rank and averages, complete graduate transcripts.
Work closely with registrars of other secondary programs to ensure the effective exchange of student enrollment and demographic data.
Keep abreast state requirements for student data collection to ensure accuracy in keep student records.
Operate a computer to maintain student information on excel spreadsheet including student demographic information.
Be responsible for all summer school student enrollments, report cards, demographic information, and ensure that forms are completely in agreement with established rules and procedures.
Complete and transmit a variety of records, cards and reports related to assigned activities.
Verify student grades, average grade points and verify eligibility for designated extracurricular clubs or activities; update student permanent records as needed.
Establish and maintain official permanent records of students.
Perform complex clerical tasks involving independent judgment and requiring accuracy.
Post, check and maintain file and statistical records accurately.
Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Knowledge of school curriculum and grade history requirements for graduation.
Knowledge of State regulations related to dropping, enrolling and transferring students.
Add, subtract, multiply and divide quickly and accurately; type at an acceptable rate of speed; operate a variety of office equipment; work independently with little direction; meet schedules and time lines; work confidentially with discretion; communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to work with constant interruptions.
Travels for agency business using personal transportation.
Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
Works evenings and weekends as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
