Position Summary
The Evening Library Technician oversees the main service desk during evening hours. This will include working with student library aides, providing support to library users, and performing closing functions.
This position will be scheduled Monday-Thursday from 4pm-8pm during the academic year with occasional change in scheduling as necessitated by staffing requirements.
Essential Functions
- Oversee the main service desk in Hiebert Library during evening hours
- Check in and check out library materials
- Answer general information questions and provide basic reference assistance to library users, with appropriate referrals to librarians as needed
- Troubleshoot issues with copiers, printers, and other technology in the library
- Collaborate with student employees during evening hours
- Close building Monday-Thursday

17.00 to $20.50 per hour is the starting wage for this role and reflects what Fresno Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, FPU offers a competitive benefits package.
