The Cashier is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, accurately handling cash and credit transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role ensures that customers have a positive experience by providing fast, friendly, and efficient service.
A Day in the Life May Include:
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with inquiries.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing questions, concerns, or complaints promptly.
- Accurately handle cash, credit, and debit transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers.
- Balance the cash register at the end of each shift.
- Stay informed about products, promotions, and store policies to answer customer questions effectively.
- Follow company policies and procedures for cash handling, loss prevention, and security.
Shift: Tuesday-Friday 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
