The Teacher Residency Program is a unique opportunity to earn a Multiple Subject, Single Subject or Education Specialist credential. Residents will work side-by-side with a team of Fresno Unified Mentors across grades Pre-K-12 and be supported by University partners and Fresno Unified faculty.
As part of this cohort, you will be teamed with other dynamic credential candidates for the 12-month program and, upon successful completion of the credential program, will be offered employment with Fresno Unified teaching in grades Pre-K-12 General Education or Special Education. Participants will engage in a robustpreparatory experience, including a year-long student teaching placement under the guidance of an expert mentor teacher, coupled with comprehensive professional learning focused on Fresno Unified initiatives and expectations. Fresno Unified, along with our university partners, will work to provide relevant and innovative curriculum to support you in becoming a highly effective teacher.
