The Automation Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
AUTOMATION MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (F/M/D)
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair issues with automated systems, robotic arms, PLC systems, and conveyor systems (non-software related).
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to maximize system uptime and efficiency.
- Work with industrial robotic assembly devices, cobots, AGV / AMR, vision systems, electrical systems, and manufacturing automation systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify potential system failures and ensure critical components are stocked for quick repairs.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in automation technology and suggest process improvements.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure smooth operation of all automated systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma / GED equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
- Technical expertise in electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, and automation systems (mechatronic background).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to quickly diagnose and resolve system malfunctions.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with engineers, technicians, and other team members.
- Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights.
