Customs & Foreign Trade Specialist

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and international trade laws.
• Prepare and submit necessary documentation for import and export activities.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other third-party logistics providers.
• Monitor and manage the classification of goods according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
• Conduct audits and assessments of import/export activities to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
• Stay updated on changes in trade regulations and implement necessary adjustments to company policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and training to internal teams on customs and trade compliance matters.
• Resolve any issues related to customs clearance and international shipments.
• Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, and procurement teams to optimize international trade operations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in international business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in customs compliance and international trade.
• In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, import/export laws, and trade compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using trade management software and tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certification in customs compliance (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist) is a plus.
• Communication & Collaboration: Communicates clearly and concisely, while engaging proactively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
