Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities

• Supplier Management: Lead the supplier management cycle, including identifying new sources, managing performance, and implementing corrective actions.
• Strategic Development: Develop strategies by understanding market conditions, suppliers, and manufacturing processes.
• Cost Reduction & Improvement: Drive projects to meet cost targets, improve purchase price variance, and enhance quality and service levels.
• Procurement Methods: Choose the best methods for procuring materials to maximize flexibility and minimize costs and risks.
• Negotiation: Negotiate pricing and terms, document agreements, and monitor supplier performance.
• Cross-functional Interaction: Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure product requirements and quality criteria are met.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management/Procurement, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of sourcing experience, preferably with mechanical components.
• Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Task Management: Ability to manage day-to-day sourcing activities for various item types and suppliers.
