Summary
Frick’s Quality Meats is currently in search of a Supply Chain Coordinator to support Procurement and Production Scheduling functions throughout the company. As a Supply Chain Coordinator at Frick’s, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain operations for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
Compensation: Salary, $59,000-$70,000

Essential Functions
Inventory Management:
· Assist Senior Buyer to monitor, control and optimize stock levels efficiently.
· Work closely with scheduling and production to align with operational needs.
· Performing daily cycle counts in the Warehouse to maintain accurate inventories.
Procurement:
· Optimize inventory to meet demand, minimize excess stock, and reduce waste.
· Create purchase orders, follow up with vendors, and ensure accurate pricing and delivery dates.
Seasonal Support:
· Provide additional support to the plant Production Scheduler during absences and peak periods, assisting with scheduling for both Raw and Ready-to-Eat production, adjusting timelines and priorities to meet daily production goals.
· Provide additional support to the Senior Buyer during absences and peak periods.
Supplier Management:
· Evaluate supplier performance, improve lead times, and reduce costs.
· Monitor supplier quality and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Reporting and Communication:
· Prepare regular reports to communicate key findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
·Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and consensus on supply chain strategies and initiatives.
Additional tasks that support our company mission “to delight customers and families with high-quality products and unmatched service” may be assigned.
Competencies
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and diligence in managing procurement contracts, inventory levels, and compliance standards. Ensures all elements of the schedule align with operational constraints and customer requirements.
Team Player - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; history of good attendance and ability to work overtime as needed.
Computer Applications – Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP), Advanced Planning Systems (APS) and inventory tracking systems.
Adaptability: Flexibility to respond to dynamic business needs and handle unexpected supply chain disruptions.
Analytical Skills: Expertise in analyzing complex data to drive decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Problem-Solving: Skilled in identifying, addressing, and resolving procurement and scheduling challenges with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams. Proven ability to secure favorable terms and build mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers.
Knowledge: Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term strategies that align with company goals and adapt to market changes.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This position is full-time on-site at our plant located in Washington, Missouri. This position is typically Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm, and Saturdays and Sundays as needed to meet customer demand.
Travel
Travel is not regularly expected but may occasionally be required. Employees are reimbursed for pre-approved company expenses and gas in their personal vehicles.
Education and Experience
Required
Associates degree in Business Administration or related field, 3 years of experience in supply chain, production scheduling or procurement; preferably in the food processing or meat industry.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Workplace Requirements
· Primarily works in an office environment with extended periods of sitting, typing and computer use.
· Requires visits to the production and warehouse floor where temperatures range from 20-40 degrees Fahrenheit.
· Occasional bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
· Must be able to freely move about the production facility by walking.
· Must be able to remain standing for periods of time.
· Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when on the production floor.
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a busy environment.
