Job Title: General Litigation Attorney- Senior Associate
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Litigation Attorney to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a broad caseload of general litigation matters in both state and federal courts.
- Conduct legal research, prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs, and manage all phases of litigation, including discovery and trial preparation.
- Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on litigation risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with clients, claims professionals, and legal teams to develop and execute case strategies.
- Mentor and supervise junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff as needed.
- Stay current on legal trends, procedural changes, and case law relevant to litigation.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in both New York and New Jersey.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in general litigation, including trial experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage complex cases independently and meet deadlines.
- Experience with insurance coverage and insurance litigation is a significant advantage but not required.
- Proficiency in handling mediation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.
