Position Summary
As an Attorney specializing in Real Estate Litigation, you will play a pivotal role in representing our clients in a variety of complex legal matters related to real estate disputes and landlord-tenant relationships. You will be responsible for handling court hearings, trials, rent board matters, law and motion work, and discovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in real estate and landlord-tenant disputes, including eviction proceedings and lease negotiations.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy.
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Prepare and present cases at court hearings and trials, effectively advocating for clients’ interests.
- Manage the discovery process, including gathering evidence, taking depositions, and responding to discovery requests.
- Provide clients with strategic legal advice and guidance on compliance with real estate laws and regulations.
- Negotiate settlements and facilitate dispute resolution when appropriate.
- Stay current on changes in real estate law and landlord-tenant regulations to provide informed counsel.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
- Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law, with a strong focus on real estate litigation and landlord-tenant disputes
- Proven track record of success in handling court hearings, trials, law & motion work, and discovery
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for advocating for clients and achieving positive outcomes
