The Role
At Friedman Vartolo LLP, we see technology as the catalyst to revolutionize the legal industries. We’re looking for a Director of Technology to oversee our established IT and programming teams, play a hands-on role in driving innovation, and help us leverage technology to redefine operational excellence.
As Director of Technology, you will:
- Lead Established Teams: Oversee a team of 5 IT professionals and 10 programmers who handle troubleshooting, setups, and development of proprietary tools.
- Bridge Tech and Non-Tech: Collaborate with directors and teams across the firm to understand their needs, translate technical solutions into practical applications, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Drive Workflow Automation: Work with our AI vendors and internal teams to implement automation solutions that eliminate manual data entry and optimize efficiency.
- Hands-On Leadership: Be directly involved in projects, offering a practical and strategic approach to solving complex challenges.
- Innovate for the Future: Bring your own vision and ideas to the table, helping the firm explore how technology can further revolutionize legal services.
- Collaborate Closely with Leadership: Serve as a key advisor to the managing partners, providing insight into technology’s role in achieving long-term goals.
What We’re Looking For
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency with SQL, Python, Django, and experience with workflow automation. Extensive experience with IT systems, including Microsoft, Azure, network infrastructure and management, server environments, and system security. Strong understanding of cloud technologies, virtualization, and disaster recovery planning. Knowledge of best practices for IT governance, compliance, and scalability.

- Collaboration Champion: Exceptional communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical departments.
