About the Role
The Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) is seeking a highly skilled Development Manager to lead our major gifts program. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced professional to join our team and make a significant impact in the fight against rare diseases.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major donors to support our mission. You will work closely with our leadership team, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies that drive results.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive major gifts plan to meet ambitious fundraising goals
- Cultivate and solicit major donors through personalized approaches, including phone calls, meetings, and written correspondence
- Work with FARA leadership and Board members to solicit and secure major gifts
- Ensure timely and accurate tracking of donor interactions and progress toward goals
