Job Description :

As a Parts Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in our Parts Department by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of parts and equipment to our customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors. You will collaborate closely with our Parts team to uphold our commitment to quality service and efficiency.

Essential Duties :

• Pickup and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors as assigned.
• Coordinate with Parts Counter personnel or Shipping and Receiving Clerk before departure to ensure all pickups and deliveries are scheduled and accounted for.
• Assist the Shipping & Receiving Clerk in stocking incoming parts and handling returns.
• Participate in all available training programs provided by the dealership.
• Adhere to all security measures and procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Obtain signatures and purchase orders for charge accounts and collect cash, checks, or credit card payments for cash accounts.
• Communicate with the service department daily to determine immediate parts needs and deliver parts accordingly.
• Verify that invoices match purchase orders for each pickup and delivery.
• Keep accurate records of daily deliveries and pickups, obtaining recipient signatures for each delivery entry.
• Unload truck nightly and submit all paperwork and undelivered parts.
• Perform basic maintenance on the delivery truck, including refueling, checking oil levels, cleaning, and ensuring required inspections are completed.
• Inform the Parts Manager promptly if delivery trucks require major repairs or maintenance.
• Contribute to maintaining a professional appearance in the parts department.
• Stay informed about and adhere to current federal, state, and local laws governing the Parts Driver role, as well as Friendly Ford dealership policies and expectations.
• Maintain an accurate daily mileage log.
• Uphold high levels of customer service consistent with Friendly Ford's standards.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
