The Opportunity :
Reporting to the Vice President Finance & Corporate Controller at Friendly Group, the Accounting Manager will be a key part of the accounting team supporting the Corporate Controller as well as the General Manager at Ambient Edge. This role will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions for Ambient Edge’s Nevada and Arizona locations. This is an exciting time to join the organization, the Operations Center Controller will have the opportunity for career growth within the accounting / finance team as Ambient Edge continues to grow both organically and by acquisition.
What You’ll Do :
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including managing a staff of three overseeing 18 million dollars in revenue.
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Oversee the month end process and financial reporting and analysis in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts with the CFO and General Manager.
- Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
- Provide leadership with ad hoc reports that help drive business decisions.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
