Duties

- Present menus, take orders, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Ensure accurate order entry using OpenTable or similar systems.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining proper sanitation standards.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently while ensuring timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Process payments using cash register systems, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including sanitizing tables and utensils between guests.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for resolution to enhance their experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is preferred.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts efficiently.
- Knowledge of culinary terms and food preparation processes is a plus.
- Exceptional guest service skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
