What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Assistant position at Friends and Companions Adult Day Health Care?
Friends and Companions Adult Day Health Care has immediate openings for Full-time Program Assistants to provide Attendant Care services for our participants in their homes. We currently have open schedules for the Barbourville, Corbin, and London areas.
Program Assistants are responsible for the personal care, social activities, and other duties regarding the center's participants. Applicants must have an understanding of the emotional and social needs and concerns of the aged or chronically ill. Friends and Companions.
Qualified candidates must:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Has demonstrated a sincere desire to work with persons of all ages who may be frail, moderately handicapped, slightly confused, or have incapacitating chronic conditions.
- Must have a current driver's license, the ability and willingness to travel, and reliable transportation.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certificate from either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. (Qualified candidates who do not have the required certification will be trained upon hire).
