Throughout the day, the infant teacher implements a structured routine that includes feeding, napping, diapering and engaging in developmentally appropriate activities. The teacher's role is to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
The following are essential components of the infant care routines:
- Establish a consistent feeding schedule with bottles and solids provided by parents.
- Create a safe and secure environment for napping, adhering to each child's individual sleep patterns.
- Engage infants verbally and through age-appropriate play activities to support their cognitive and language development.
- Foster a sense of trust and security through positive interactions, building strong relationships with each child.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, promoting a hygienic and healthy environment for infant care.
- Certificate in first aid and CPR
- Diploma/GED
