MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Serves as a member of the Quality Assurance Standing Committee, the Quality Assurance Work Group, and the Restriction Review Committee.
- Serves as the Chair for the Admissions Committee. Responsible for scheduling the meetings, dissemination of information to the committee, devises the agenda, records the minutes, acts as a liaison between the agency and service coordinator to complete the referral request and submit additional supporting documentation to the agency. The Chair then communicates the decision to the individuals service coordinator.
- Provide Mandt training to agency staff.
- Serves as the agency’s coordinator for all consumer behavior plans ensuring compliance with COMAR 10.22.10
- Conducts functional assessments and collects baseline behavior data as needed.
- Drafts an initial behavior plan in compliance with COMAR 10.22.10.05 and presents behavior plan to agency Psychologist/ LCSW for review and approval.
- Schedules and conducts staff training on behavior plan implementation.
- Develops methods and procedures to monitor and evaluate behavior plan implementation, documentation, collection of data and setting up necessary formats to complete required written reports.
- Review all behavior plans, tracks behaviors and reports as monthly summaries.
- Participates in Individual Planning Meetings; prepares and presents summaries of behavior data.
- Reviews and updates plans as needed
- Maintains updated and organized files for individuals served.
- Create and submit SIPs (Goals and Outcomes) for individual’s Person Center Plan.
- Ensure that Behavioral Support Service Plans (BSS) in LTSS are accurate.
- Submits billing claim(s) in LTSS for services rendered.
- Displays sound judgment in exercising responsibility for the safety and well being of consumers/maintains a safe working environment at all times.
- Assist consumers to make responsible choices regarding their individual rights in all aspects of their program.
- Act as liaison between Friends Aware and other provider agencies in matters concerning behavior plans.
- Provide information to parents/caregivers, as appropriate, regarding existing or potential behavior plans.
- Maintain confidentiality in all consumer matters.
- Advocate for individual rights of consumers.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

- Ability to exercise independent judgment, evaluate complex issues/problems as they relate to consumer behaviors, identify solutions and develop an appropriate course of action.

- Ability to read and interpret regulations.
- Ability to receive and maintain certification as a Mandt System trainer within agency designated timeframe.
- Ability to receive and maintain certification as a Registered Behavior Technician within agency designated timeframe in order for the agency to provide and receive funding for Behavioral Support Services (BSS).
- Proficient in Windows based software (ie: Word, Excel, Publisher, Internet Explorer, etc.) and an ability to learn and effectively use other software applications within agency designated timeframe.
- Must possess typing skills sufficient to be productive.
- Valid driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience and an agency approved driving record.
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in Psychology, Social Work or related field. Preference given to a Licensed psychologist, Psychology associate working under the license of the psychologist (and currently registered with and approved by the Maryland Board of Psychology), Licensed professional counselor, Licensed certified social worker or Licensed behavioral analyst. Preference also given to those with experience in the field of developmental disabilities.
Salary : $62,400 - $79,040
