SUMMARY:
The Friends For All Corporation’s Behavioral Health Clinician will provide individual and group psychotherapy, crisis screenings and interventions, and therapeutic wellness classes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client engagement and Follow-Up:
- Implement clinical behavioral health programs serving individuals living with HIV and at high-risk for HIV transmission, including individual and group psychotherapy
- Provide psychotherapy utilizing evidenced-based therapeutic modalities
- Provision of group and individual behavioral health services to 200 unduplicated clients per RW grant year (100 group & 100 individual)
- Serve as a first responder providing initial crisis screening and brief counseling support for clients experiencing a mental health crisis
Community Engagement:
- Actively promote robust internal and external referral system
- Actively participate in multi-disciplinary clinical staffing with staff of non-behavioral health programs to enhance client outcomes
Case Notes and Documentation
- Complete all documentation on all client clinical activities on a weekly basis including progress notes, assessments and evaluations, treatment plans, and wellness plans that include referral to appropriate Wellness University classes
- Complete a monthly self-audit of 5% of client charts in the caseload tracker in Apricot
- Review Apricot/RWise for record of client’s Ryan White Certification status and maintain with client’s file in Apricot for data management
- Maintain confidentiality in client records in keeping with all applicable ethical guidelines and legal requirements
- Complete proper, accurate and timely documentation of services in writing and in Athena, CAREWare, Evaluation Web, Redcap, Apricot, and any other database, as required.
Customer Service Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, courteous, professional, and timely assistance to staff, clients, and community partners via phone, email, chat, or in person.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored to diverse customer needs.
- Demonstrate empathy and patience when interacting with customers to foster trust and loyalty.
- Use critical thinking and creativity to find effective solutions to data management issues.
- Collaborate closely with other departments—such as Medical Case Management, Dietetics, Housing, Clinical Services, and Linkage & Retention—to address client needs from a holistic approach.
- Assist in training new team members and share best practices for all assigned data systems.
- Meet or exceed the Friends Way approach to customer service for both internal and external encounters.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in client data collection and system distribution processes, and suggest actionable solutions.
- Regular and predictable punctuality and attendance is required
- Return all calls, emails and text in a timely manner.
- Participate in weekly or biweekly coaching sessions with supervisor
- Complete Performance Reviews and SMART GOALS
- Participate in All Staff Meetings, In-Service Days and Mandatory Trainings
- May need to travel in personal vehicle to meet staff, clients, or community partners at FFA locations or at other locations to meet the needs of the position

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position does not carry full-time staff supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Master of Social Work from an accredited university preferred. Depending on experience, a Master level degree in a related counseling program from an accredited university may be considered.
- Current license in good standing in Tennessee required. Arkansas and Mississippi licenses a plus. Accepted licenses include: LCSW, LPC-MHSP, LMSW (active clinical supervision required), LPC (active clinical supervision required)
- 2 years of experience working with persons living with HIV/AIDS preferred
- 2 years of experience working with persons experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and/or chemical dependency preferred
- 2 years of experience working with LGBTQ and transgender persons preferred
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
- Good strategic/critical thinker, self-starter, goal-oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communications. Ability to operate with purpose, urgency and accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

- Strong relationship-builder both with team and clients (internal and external)
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Computer skills: ability to efficiently navigate the Internet and input data into applicable systems; familiarity with MS Office 365, especially Outlook and SharePoint, Adobe, TEAMS and Zoom
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Maintain confidential information and adhere to all Friends For All policies and procedures regarding sharing of financial information and Protected Health Information (PHI).
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must hold a current license in good standing in Tennessee. Accepted licenses include Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), and Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP). If LMSW, must be in active clinical supervision or show proof of attainment within the first 60 days of hire. Other counseling degree holders must be registered with the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) and be in clinical supervision or show proof of attainment within the first 60 days of hire. Holding a current LCSW, LMSW, or LPC-MHSP in good standing in Arkansas and/or Mississippi a plus.Must have a valid State Driver’s License, provide proof of automobile insurance coverage to employer at all times and have an automobile to be used daily.
