Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Development Intern to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with our Development Coordinator and contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about nonprofit work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry & Management: Database management, including data entry, maintaining accurate records of donor data and digital file organization to support the organization’s fundraising efforts.
- Social Media Management: Create, schedule, and post engaging content on our social media platforms to boost community engagement and brand visibility.
- Branding Support: Collaborate with the team on our rebranding project, contribute fresh ideas and creative input and continually represent the brand of the organization. Updating the organization’s website with relevant information.
- Impact Storytelling: Write compelling stories that highlight the impact of our programs and the lives we transform.
- Fundraising Event Support: Help plan, promote, and execute fundraising events that drive community support and donor engagement.
Qualifications:
- Current college student pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Development, or a related field.
- Strong interest in nonprofit development and operations.
- Passion for nonprofit work and a strong interest in brand building and awareness.
- Familiarity with database management and/or CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) with the ability to work with confidential information.
- Written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft compelling narratives.
- Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Creative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Reliable transportation.

Internship Details:
- Location: Hybrid Monday/Friday virtual, Tuesday - Thursday in person; work is based in Palo Alto, CA
- Time Commitment: February 2025 - December 2025 (Up to 16 hours per week)
- Compensation: Unpaid with the likelihood of full-time position at the end of internship
