- Maintains and ensures that service standards within the daily operations of the dining room are met.
- Performs all routine duties and serves as role model for the team.
- Fills in as needed in all areas to help ensure effective dining room functioning.
- Supervises wait staff, utility staff and dietary aides to ensure that all work group assignments are completed in accordance with department standards. Supervision includes initiating the first level of performance evaluations and informal and formal counseling sessions with employees under his/her supervision.
- Assists the Director in coordinating catering services, and wait staff to assure our ability to handle any catering activity.
- Assists with orienting new team members per department standards ensuring they have all information and support needed to be successful in their role.
- Communicates with team members through varies means including messages, regular team meetings and daily stand up meetings. Follows up timely with team member’s questions and concerns.
- Ensures Point of Service system updates are completed timely.
- Assist in implementing and enforcing all sanitation standards that are relevant to dining services that comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensures that all equipment, utensils, and dining areas are clean and orderly to help ensure that the department meets all health and safety requirements.
- Ensures Residents preferences (likes and dislikes) are honored at all meals served to Assisted Living and Nursing Units.
- Ensures that wait staff observe and fulfill the needs of residents in the dining room, in a timely and pleasant manner.
- Supports and participates in the Cultural Change concept of care to enhance the Residents quality of life.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Staff may be required to participate in various committees such as QAPI or safety on an as needed basis.

- The incumbent is expected to work various work schedules, including holidays, weekends, weekdays, mornings, and evenings. Carts, dollies, and other forms of material handling equipment are available to assist in the moving of items. Long hours walking and standing are common.
