POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician person is responsible, under the direction and supervision of the Director of Maintenance, for general building and repair projects using maintenance skills of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, tile work, landscaping, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training, Experience, and Abilities
High school graduate or graduate of technical school.
At least two years' experience in building trades or related maintenance duties. Any satisfactory combination of education, training, experience, or abilities in a related field.
Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision or other employee assistance after the training period is completed and do so without injury to oneself or other individuals.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English as to be understood effectively by another individual.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with normal maintenance duties when needed - painting, electrical, plumbing, tile laying, plastering, refinishing, boiler checks, maintenance repair tickets, emergency generator, changing filters, inspecting fire extinguishers, water temperature checks, fire drills, collecting of trash, snow removal, landscape work, etc.
- Ability to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled work hours.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
- Competent in organizational, time management skills
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
Abides by the standards and practices as set forth in the Corporate Compliance Code of Conduct.
- Adheres to the Organizations Policies and Procedures covering Privacy and Security in Compliance with HIPAA regulations.
