Overview
FOACAS is a 5-year-old non-profit (5103c3) organization with a mission to keep dogs out of shelters by adopting them to qualified families. Our volunteer organization has placed over 1,000 dogs into families in the Maryland, Virginia and DC area. FOACAS is hiring an Executive Director who can manage the organization. This position will be responsible for working with adopters, fosters, and volunteers to ensure a seamless, timely successful adoption process.
Duties
- Work to enhance the FOACAS mission to grow the vision of the founders.
- Lead operations to, ensuring an efficient process.
- Manage day-to-day operations.
- Work with the volunteer network to ensure applicants are matched with the dogs.
- Work with the established veterinary network to ensure all dogs are medically cared for.
- Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and conferences to promote its mission.
Qualifications
- Experience with animal rescue
- Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of Excell and Dropbox. Constant Contact is a plus
This is an exciting opportunity to help a well-know rescue grow to its next level. FOACAS has been written up in Bethesda Magazine, Potomac Living and twice been on Good Morning America/Washington. We have grown from an annual budget of $75,000 to over $350,000 in 5 years.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
