Friends of the Animals in Medford, OR is looking for a Surgical Certified Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate pet care team! YOUR ROLE:
We offer a flexible full-time or part-time schedule, with shifts between 7 AM and 4 PM.
As our Surgical Certified Veterinary Technician, your day will be filled with meaningful tasks that save lives. You'll manage and record the use of controlled drugs with precision and prepare patients for surgery with care-handling pre-surgical prep and intubation like the pro you are. During procedures, you'll induce anesthesia and monitor patients closely to ensure their safety. Once the surgery is complete, you'll supervise recovery, making sure each pet wakes up safely and comfortably. You'll collaborate with veterinarians and fellow team members, ensuring every procedure runs smoothly and every patient receives the best pet care possible. Your skills and dedication will help pets recover, heal, and find loving homes.
THE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Oregon CVT license
Experience working in animal shelters, assisting high-volume surgeries, and supervising staff and volunteers is highly preferred but not required.
