At Friends of the Animals, we're hiring a full- or part-time Veterinary Surgeon to perform high-quality spay and neuter services for the dogs and cats in our foster program! Join us in Medford, OR to spend your days providing excellent veterinary care.
We offer an incredible wage of $75.00 - $111.00/hour. Our full-time staff also receive a comprehensive benefits package with great perks like a rewarding bonus structure, generous PTO, company phone and uniforms, paid holidays, and two weeks of paid vacation per year after six months!
HOW YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE
This full- or part-time position works during our business hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
As our Veterinary Surgeon, you perform quality surgical sterilizations and ensure that your team provides compassionate post-operative care. Treating every animal kindly and carefully, you conduct pre-op examinations to make sure the dog or cat can withstand the surgery. After determining they're good to go, you perform the surgery and recommend tips for follow-up care. You inoculate patients, perform post-surgery exams, and closely supervise controlled substance handling and recording to ensure every team member is working well and every animal receives the quality care they deserve!
OUR IDEAL VETERINARY SURGEON
- Oregon veterinary license
Experience with shelter medicine or working in a high-volume animal care environment would be preferred. Licensure in a different state may be a bonus!
