About the Role
Welcome to the MidAtlantic Regional Team! You are part of the fastest-growing region of FIDF, representing entrepreneurial Zionism for the Diaspora. The Affinities Director for the Region will oversee the development and expansion of four key affinity groups—Lawyers, Real Estate Professionals, Finance, and High Tech. The role involves strategic planning, engagement, and relationship-building to ensure these groups are robust and effectively support the mission of FIDF.
This position requires a passion for building communities and a deep commitment to FIDF’s mission of supporting soldiers, families, and veterans of the Israel Defense Forces. You will work closely with community leaders, volunteers, and donors to establish and grow affinity networks across the region and aligning with the broader regional goals.
Key Responsibilities
- In collaboration with Regional VP and Chapter Directors, develop a multi-year plan for establishing and fostering the growth of Lawyers Division, Real Estate and Finance Professionals, High Tech/Defense Industry.
- Cultivate and solicit donors for the affinity groups, using personalized approaches and ongoing FIDF events to engage and inspire donors.
- Travel as needed to develop relationships and bring FIDF affinity experiences throughout the region as mapped by your strategic plan.
- Identify and recruit local lay leaders for each affinity group, building a pipeline of passionate individuals who can drive the group's success.
- Partner with local board members to increase FIDF’s presence in underserved communities and expand the reach of affinity groups.
- Support or Lead regional/chapter events as needed, including galas, parlor meetings, community events for affinity groups, and potential mission trips to ensure ongoing and consistent engagement with affinity group members.
- Establish a leadership model for each group that fosters collaboration and creates lasting impacts through each affinity group.
- Develop recurring gifts from donors, ensuring continuous support for affinity group initiatives and FIDF’s broader mission.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing support to affinity group members, ensuring their engagement and satisfaction.
- Work closely with regional and national teams to align strategies, share best practices, and ensure the success of affinity groups.
- Assume other responsibilities as needed, supporting the overall growth and goals of the region.

Qualifications
- Sincere interest in FIDF’s mission of supporting Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers, families, and veterans.
- Proven success in relationship management, community engagement, and development, preferably in the legal, medical, real estate, or women’s professional sectors.
- Strong communication and networking skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships and inspire action.
- Demonstrated experience in leading or establishing affinity groups, organizing events, and working with diverse communities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Willingness to travel regularly to communities within the region.
