About the Role
Welcome to the MidAtlantic Regional Team! You are part of the fastest-growing region of FIDF. We represent entrepreneurial Zionism for the Diaspora! The Washington DC Chapter Director is responsible for managing a significant portfolio of donors, which includes individual, corporate, and foundation prospects. This professional will identify, research, and form a strategic solicitation plan and will maintain a personal relationship with donors to maximize their charitable and volunteer involvement. In addition, the director will provide leadership in the area of lay leadership partnership and staff collaboration as well as strategic planning concerning donors. Together with a supportive team, the chapter director will focus on results that are aligned with the MidAtlantic Region’s annual multimillion-dollar goals and will deeply educate and engage community members in the work of FIDF.

Emphasis is on results, relationship building and effective use of the organizational systems; to cultivate or steward gifts from, individuals and foundations.
Essential Job Duties
- Coordinate and execute the annual fundraising plan.
- Identify, research, cultivate, and personally solicit a major donor and prospect portfolio in Greater Washington region and whose accounts fall under the DC Chapter.
- Develop and maintain a personal relationship as an account manager to maximize and strategically plan for all development opportunities through both ongoing FIDF events and individualized approaches.
- Identify and recruit local lay leaders.
- Partner with the local board members to deepen the footprint of FIDF in the local community
- Research and develop prospects and cultivate and maintain relationships.
- Coordinate regional events, including the annual Gala Diner, parlor meetings, community events, and potential Mission trips.
- Work on maintaining and increasing the effectiveness of the DC Chapter Leadership Council, Ambassadors Circle and developing leaders.
- Create reoccurring gifts from donors using annual giving levels.
- Assume other responsibilities as needed.
- Supervisory duties of at least one team member
- Reports to the Vice President of the MidAtlantic Region.
The Chapter Director needs to have a sincere and genuine interest in the importance of FIDF’s mission of supporting soldiers, families, and veterans of the Israel Defense Forces.
