Its Great Hall, a performance space of historic importance, will be restored as an outlet to showcase the creativity of the arts community, both local and beyond. Adaptive commercial reuse of the entire building is essential to restore the Town House as the "Center of Everything" in our small rural town. We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, results-oriented Development Consultant with a contagious enthusiasm who can breathe new life into the project and lead our volunteer Board of Directors in identifying a plan and strategy to move our project forward. Fundraising and capacity building are essential parts of the goal to restore the Town House as the "Center of Everything".. We are committed to making a positive impact on our community and beyond.

Job Summary:

The Development Consultant will take on a leadership role in the process of creating a strategic plan of action for the Friends of the North Brookfield Town House. In this short-term, part-time leadership position, this individual will work closely with the Board of Directors to create and execute a comprehensive development plan that secures the necessary resources to advance our programs, initiatives, and organizational goals. Though this position is short term, it should kick-start a solid strategic planning stage to renovate and restore the Town House, and eventually be followed by a long term position to implement the plan. This task will require identifying specific roles and responsibilities of varied members, providing mentoring, direction, and support for the team.

· Develop and maintain relationships on behalf of the organization, connecting others to the mission of the project, and educating the public to the impact of arts and restoration in the community building process. One target of this initiative will be to garner participation and support of the project from members in other towns throughout the targeted region. The town of North Brookfield and surrounding Central Mass communities would all benefit from the preservation of this historic gem.
