We are currently hiring for our Site Coordinator position. The Site Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and assuring a quality of life within an assigned home that reflects the values, goals, and objectives outlined in the Friendship Ark Mission Statement. To the extent possible, the Site Coordinator will actively participate in the daily life of the home’s core members. The Site Coordinator will provide core member support and foster participation in home and community activities, with a focus on the development of independent and interdependent living skills. The Site will hold periodic house meetings with the core members to encourage the participation of daily living in a family style home; provide guidance and supervision to staff. This is a direct support position.
Hours are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. All days are 7a-7p.
Qualifications:
· Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.
· Education: Two years beyond High School or four years fulltime experience. Certification of Medication Manager (must meet requirement within 90 days of employment).
· Experience: One year fulltime experience living with or working with adults or children with special needs. Supervisory experience preferred.
· Driver’s License: Must have a valid license and qualify as an insurable driver. Must obtain D3 certification within first 90 days of employment.
· Mental Demands: Ability to work under stressful conditions with frequent interruptions. Ability to make decisions using good judgment in crisis situations. Ability to work independently without supervision. Ability to interpret and apply relevant policies and procedures.
· Physical Demands: This person will be in good health, free from communicable diseases, and able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Personal Qualities: Demonstrate a willingness to the commitment to meeting physical and spiritual needs of persons with disabilities. Discrete and confidential in handling private information about self and others. Demonstrates a willingness to work as a team, is well organized, exemplifies good leadership skills, is able to plan and supervise the work of others, and has strong oral and written communication skills. Able to work unsupervised, coordinating direct care with indirect duties. Must pass DCI and other background checks. Basic computer knowledge with ability to learn company specific programs
