We are seeking an efficient, organized, and engaging receptionist to in our Petoskey Center. This is a part-time position, working Monday through Friday, 30 – 32 hours per week. Schedule will typically be 9:00 a.m. to 3:00, but may vary some days.
As the receptionist, you will:
· manage front desk operations, greeting seniors and other visitors to the Center in a courteous and professional manner
· answer and transfer incoming calls
· schedule appointments and take reservations for services and events
· assist participants with registration, program inquiries, and general information
· address participant concerns and escalate issues to appropriate staff as needed
· manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
· accurately handle cash, credit card, and personal check transactions
· use various software applications to register new participants and maintain accurate records
· assist with data entry, filing, and other clerical tasks as assigned
We require a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience and/or training in office administration or customer service preferred, preferably working with senior citizens. We require basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite applications. General skills include typing, filing, operating a multi-line phone system, and experience using credit card readers and cash registers.
You should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, be able to work independently, and have the ability to deal with stressful situations with poise and tact. You should be reliable and have dependable transportation.
All employees must pass a criminal background check and sex offender checks. You must attend all company training and comply with all safety and employee policies. This is an office-based job which may require long periods of sitting, standing, or operating office equipment.
