What are the responsibilities and job description for the ADMIN SUPPORT position at Friendship Community Care, Inc?
Processes all medical records requests received by the organization in accordance with all federal and state laws and regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Serves and protects the organization by adhering to professional standards, company policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and CARF standards • Safeguards the medical records by ensuring that all Releases of Information are in compliance with the request, authorization, organization policy and procedure, and all federal and state laws and regulations • Processes incoming medical records requests for information by mail, fax, telephone calls, and e-mails within federal and state requirements • Validates requests and Authorizations for Release of Information according to company policies and procedures and all federal and state laws and regulations • Ensures medical records requests from outside sources have signed and proper Release of Information forms. • Ensures “Access to Records” form signed/reason for access documented when staff views paper records. • Audits Release of Information Chart Information monthly; Ensures Release of Information forms are current, validly documented, and guardian information included. • Maintains accurate documentation on employees failing to follow Medical Record procedures as established by Coordinator/Management. Provides quarterly written report reflecting inadequacies to Program Administrator. • Performs other duties deemed necessary by Supervisor.
This is a safety sensitive position. Must be able to pass background checks/drug screen and maintain a clean driving record along with a valid AR driver's license and state minimum liability auto insurance.
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm
