What are the responsibilities and job description for the Art and Gallery Worx Instructor position at Friendship Community Care?
Schedule: Mon- Fri, 7:30 am- 3:30 pm (can vary)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensures kiln maintenance is performed as needed.
- Complete and maintain required documentation related to DDTCS, FCC, and CARF requirements.
- Responsible for weekly and quarterly reports to the Supervisor.
- Works with supervisor and Lead Instructor in the development and oversight of art curriculum for adult development sites and a monthly calendar for all DDTCS sites.
- Develop art curriculum with intention to foster learning of the arts, creative expression, social and personal growth, community integration and involvement, and potential income earning for FCC clients who wish to sell their art.
- Work with supervisor and ADDT Managers to market the art curriculum/art program at STAR Benton and ADDT locations across the state.
- Work with other providers in and out of state to improve and enhance Friendship Community Care's art program, and to involve clients in annual or biannual local art shows.
- Provide training and instruction (written and/or video) on all art curriculum/projects.
- Work with supervisor and/or Lead Instructor for the procurement of supplies and materials needed for art curriculum and art projects.
- Develop one or two on-site Gallery Worx spaces and website to display and sell client art. This includes working with supervisor and the FCC marketing department to include art program/Gallery Worx on FCC website and other FCC social media sites.
- Develop and provide instruction for art classes that are offered to FCC clients and the general public special needs populations. These classes would be offered on Saturdays once a month.
- Work with STAR Benton AD Manager and Director of Retail/ADDT Support to develop a relationship with SLE teachers in the surrounding schools and provide in classroom art instruction for a small art project once a semester.
- Completes daily notes in Credible. Documents all behavioral reports, marks reports, and seizure reports and informs supervisor and Site Service Coordinator/AD Manager.
- Supervises clients in art and Vinyl Worx.
- Ensure that all orders in Vinyl Worx are completed in a timely manner and all art produced is complete for scheduled art show.
- Develops daily schedule for designated clients based on individual's needs and provides art instruction to up to 10 clients (in person) daily at STAR Benton.
- Provide art instruction virtual, via TEAMS, to clients participating in other FCC ADDT locations across the state.
- This is a safety sensitive position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate degree in art or similar art experience teaching or working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- The Code of Conduct and Compliance Investigation Procedures as read and discussed in the new employee training must be followed at all times.
- Consumers' progress notes be maintained and completed daily or as needed on the prescribed forms.
- Consumers' records must be maintained weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly. All information must be filed in consumers' records as needed and updated as prescribed by funding sources.
