What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time SLEEP Position, 10 pm - 6 am - Direct Support Professional position at Friendship Community?
Two 8 hours Shifts per week.
As a Direct Support Professional (Sleep), you will be assigned to work as part of a team in one of our 24 homes with the responsibility of supporting up to 4 Individuals overnight. You will sleep within the home and while you sleep, you'll earn $7.50/hour. If you need to wake up at all overnight to help out, you will receive a wage of $15.00/hour.
Your responsibilities as a Friendship Community DSP (Sleep position) will include:
- Administer medications and, when appropriate, teach and document the Individual’s progress toward learning to take medication independently.
- Report all medical situations as indicated by the Nurse Consultant and follow recommendations.
- Report all incident or unusual incidents promptly.
- Assist in sleep fire drills.
- Handle emergencies which may occur overnight in the home and with the Individuals.
- Understand and follow Friendship Community’s Privacy Policy Statement based on HIPAA regulations.
