The Training Associate provides support to daily operations related to Team Member orientation and training. The Training Associate provides training support and oversight, as well as support with project management in a collaborative effort to enhance organizational compliance and quality.
Job responsibilities include:
Demonstrates a respectful, professional attitude that promotes service excellence to Individuals, Team Members, families, and/or the general public.
Provides frequent and effective communication with Team Members, Managers and Coordinators, as well as other departments.
Training:
1. Maintains accurate training records for each employee.
2. Identifies and implements monthly in-service training opportunities, including annual training.
3. Develops training resources (including recording and editing video as needed) as needs are identified, through collaboration with the Department lead (or otherwise identified content expert).
4. Serves as the organization’s DSP/FLS credentialling program (ie NADSP).
5. Serves as the organization’s Learning Management Software (LMS) administrator.
6. Facilitates Initial Orientation for newly hired Team Members as assigned.
7. Assists with tracking training renewal dates for employees.
8. Provides administrative support for medication administration training in collaboration with Lead Med Trainer.
9. Identifies and implements needed tracking systems or enhancements for regulatory/policy compliance.
10. Participates and completes ongoing projects within the Training Department as assigned.
11. Assists with various administrative duties.
Other Duties:
1. Serve on various committees with Friendship Community, as assigned.
2. Understand and follow Friendship Community’s Privacy Policy statement based on HIPPA regulations.
3. All other duties assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Experience in working with Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities is preferred. ODP Medication Trainer certification preferred.
Computer skills and comfort with various computer programs is required. Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills in addition to organization skills is required. The Training Associate must have the ability to be responsible, trustworthy, dependable, industrious, and able to work together as a team with persons in administrative positions as well as other Team Members.
As a Full-Time Training Associate, you will be eligible for the following benefits:
- Medical Insurance – Bi-weekly medical premiums: $40 – individual, $50 – family. Eligible after 30 days waiting period.
- Ancillary benefits (ex. dental, vision, etc.) provided through Lincoln Financial. Friendship Community provides a defined annual contribution that Full-Time Team Members can use towards ancillary benefits each year. The 2025 defined contribution is $150, which totals $5.77 per pay. Eligible after 60 day waiting period.
- Paid Time Off – Accrues per pay period, can be used immediately.
- Sick Time – Accrues per pay period, can be used immediately.
- Retirement – Team member is able to contribute to 403(b) retirement plan after 30 days.
- Holiday Pay (FT status) – 7 paid holidays—New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday (or Good Friday for Team Members who do not normally work weekends), Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas
