Purpose of the Position
To provide a broad range of resident centered care and services to meet the individual needs of each resident’s social, environmental and personal care. These cares will be done in a residential setting to enhance the capacity of the residents to attain or maintain their highest level of independence, offering choice and control.
Essential Duties:
Perform personal and household care services including bathing, hygiene, grooming, medication assistance and laundry duties.
Communicate and document services and care in an effective, timely manner in accordance with individual care plans and within policies and procedures.
Prepare meals, serve meals and act as a host or hostess to provide the dining experience as if the residents are at home.
When appropriate, join residents in dining to encourage socialization and to develop relationships.
Responsible to ensure after meal times that all dishes and kitchen areas are cleaned and kept in an organized manner.
May be required to accompany residents to appointments or personal errands.
Work with team members and other staff members in a helpful, respectful and courteous manner.
Responds appropriately to residents requests for help and maintains positive relationships with residents’ friends and family members.
Encourages and participates in meaningful activities, assists with organized programs and promotes spontaneous activities.
Complete all tasks per Nurse Delegation.
