Friendship is looking for a PRN Physical Therapist to join our Friendship Health and Rehab North team, located in Roanoke, VA. The Physical Therapist is responsible for creating therapy plans that improve and encourage resident recovery and wellness. They will create individual treatment plans to meet the needs of each resident.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Complete screenings and patient evaluations according to departmental policies and procedures
Establish, implement and execute goal-oriented treatment plans and programs in coordination with other departments
Adhere to departmental, organization and regulatory agency policies and procedures
Evaluate treatment plan progressions to identify any deficiencies and make adjustments as may be necessary
Participate in program development, quality assurance and improvement efforts
Identify areas of opportunity to improve quality of care for residents and/or improve departmental operations
Comply with all local, state, federal, and facility policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree required
Valid Physical Therapy License required
Experience in a long-term care/rehabilitation facility preferred
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds
