Responsibilities:
- Provide 5-star nutrition-focused meals for our amazing residents!
- Plating and portioning food in a safe manner (modified and therapeutic diets) in a fast paced --newly renovated dining room and making a difference in the lives of our residents.
- Building relationships with our wonderful residents!
- Working with a high quality, collaborative medical and culinary team.
- Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order.
- Receives orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously.
- Composing the meal tray / food in a timely manner
- Clears dishes from tables after meal service
- Provides consistently high levels of customer service for our residents and their guests, adapting to the needs and service level expectations associated with each dining location.
- Washes dishes and prepares the work station for the following meal
- Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in work areas.
- Exhibits acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
- Completes all assigned cleaning tasks.
Qualifications:
- A desire to make a difference!
- Willingness to grow!
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
- 1 year of Dietary Aide or Serving experience preferred
- 1 year cold food preparation experience preferred, hot food preparation not necessary
- Understands the needs for today’s seniors (vision, hearing and memory challenges)
- Enjoys multi-tasking and following specific health requirements in a caring, compassionate manner
