Who You Are :

We seek a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act as a Certified Medication Technician for our Assisted Living facility. This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care and be able to motivate while maintaining relationships with staff and residents. The right candidate will always strive to do the best job possible, to be creative and to work towards accomplishing facility goals.

What You Will Do :

Safely prepare and administer oral and topical drugs as prescribed by a physician.

Record administration of the medication on the resident’s medication administration record.

Report medication errors or reactions to medications immediately to the charge nurse.

Report and record observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.

Perform accurate pulse and blood pressure and recognize their significance in drug therapy.

Provide support with Activities of Daily Living as assigned safely and consistently with FV policies and procedures. Documents all tasks completed.

Contribute to resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergencies and initiating corrective action as appropriate.

Contribute to continuity of care by effectively communicating services provided and changes in the resident's condition or family interactions promptly . Report noticeable changes in the resident’s participation and behavior to the supervisor immediately.

Job Requirements :

High School or GED Degree required.

Active CMT License.

Registration with the State registry is required .

CPR certification is mandatory.

Knowledge of medication administration, duration, and side effects.

Exhibits well-developed communication skills. Can professionally receive and follow oral instructions in English
