Who You Are :

We seek a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act as a Manager of Volunteer Services for our Hospice Community. This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care and be able to motivate while maintaining relationships with staff and residents. The right candidate will always strive to do the best job possible, to be creative and to work towards accomplishing facility goals.

What You Will Do :

Develop and implement a volunteer program with a recruitment, training, and orientation component.

Ensure that new volunteers are oriented and trained before being assigned.

Match volunteers to department assignments or patients based on the patients' personalities and needs, as well as the volunteers’ availability, skills, and expertise.

Ensure quality service and patient satisfaction by reviewing the Volunteer Plan of Care with the assigned Volunteer before they make a patient visit.

Monitor time sheets and visit notes to ensure the care plan and department policies were followed.

Maintain monthly statistics regarding the volunteer program.

Maintain volunteer personnel files.

Job Requirements :

Minimum of one (1) year experience in a healthcare setting. (Hospice and / or Volunteer Experience preferred.)

Strong one-on-one people skills.

Knowledge of Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation.

Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.

Excellent organizational, computer, and internet resource skills.
