Role and Responsibilities:
As an HR Generalist at Friesen Group, you will play a key role in various human resources functions, ensuring smooth HR operations, and supporting our family of companies. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Employee Records & Data Maintenance: Process Employment Action Forms (EAFs), track performance evaluations, and ensure any record adjustments are handled promptly and accurately.
- Health Benefits Administration: Manage electronic health benefits enrollment and eligibility, assist with employee inquiries regarding benefits, and ensure timely processing of benefits changes.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist with recruiting efforts, including job postings, interviewing, and guiding candidates through the onboarding process.
- Workplace Culture Advocate: Be an active supporter of our workplace culture by assisting in the planning of employee engagement activities and special events.
- HR Data Reporting & Auditing: Regularly report and audit HR and payroll-related data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Customer Service Focus: Provide exceptional service to employees by addressing HR-related questions and concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A customer service-oriented mindset and a positive, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with HRIS systems and basic HR processes (e.g., benefits administration, employee recordkeeping, recruiting).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

Requirements
Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
- Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Physically able to work seated in front of a computer for long hours at a time
- Preferred experience in a HR/Payroll related position
Education
- Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
Salary : $26 - $28
