Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to manufacture complex parts
- Operate CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines
- Program CNC machines using BobCAD or conversational programming methods
- Set up and adjust CNC machines for different production runs
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure accurate and efficient machining
- Conduct quality control checks and ensure that parts meet required specifications and tolerances
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other gauges
- Design and machine custom parts with multiple angles and precise tolerances
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machines, tooling, and materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to continuously improve processes and procedures
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment
Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in CNC machining (training will be provided for the right candidate)
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to interpret blueprints
- Familiarity with CNC programming and operation (experience with CNC lathe and milling machines a plus)
- Proficient in using precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
